Discover the Labyrinth: Breathing Space for Heart and Mind

February 15 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

This one-day workshop provides an introduction to labyrinth walking as a pathway to quietness in today’s hectic world. A labyrinth has just one path to the centre and out again, and can provide a peaceful, meditative experience. We will share a guided labyrinth walk together in St. Benet’s Chapel (a grade 2 listed heritage site). Discover the history of labyrinths, found around the world in many cultures. Find out how a labyrinth can be a peaceful resource for you, and how labyrinths are making a difference today, in hospitals, universities, schools, faith settings and more. Everyone is welcome.
This is an independent event, kindly hosted by St. Benet’s Chaplaincy. The workshop, with labyrinth facilitator Jan Sellers, is open to all and also serves as a Veriditas Qualifying workshop for people interested in progressing to labyrinth facilitator training (find out more at http://www.veriditas.com). As an ‘extra’, we hope to be able to visit a nearby outdoor labyrinth, either during the workshop or immediately afterwards: information to follow.
